I'll begin with some basic descriptions of the device. The device is made of plastic and is made by a 3D printer. Normally, I would advise not to buy chastity devices made out of plastic, but this device is the exception. Unlike other plastic devices, this device has plenty of holes along the side and on the head that allow for easy cleaning, but are small enough to block access to fingers. The plastic bars that make up the body of the cage are wider than what you would find on other metal devices, but I find that the design works well for its purposes. And the advantage of using plastic, which is arguably the device's greatest attribute, is that it keeps the device very lightweight.
The device has a nice angle to it that keeps it conspicuous under clothing. It attaches to the base ring using a locking mechanism, so there is no padlock banging around. The one downside is that you are forced to use the locking mechanism that comes with the cage, but those are sold separately and can be easily replaced. The advantage of this design is that it keeps the device quieter and slimmer.
The base ring comes in two options, one where the ring is a normal circle shape, and one where the bottom of the ring angles out to help trap the balls between the ring and the cage, an advantage for users with smaller balls.
The cage comes in many different sizing options. The options include different lengths and girths. The reddit community is very helpful and I would recommend asking any sizing questions there. Often Kink3D will respond there as well. And there isn't as much of a worry about finding the right size right away because Kink3D will often give a discount for the second cage or ring if you experience sizing issues.
I will give you my opinion based on my past experience with chastity devices. I would say, so far, this is my favorite device. Although as a disclaimer, this is my first plastic device. This device is probably the most famous of all chastity devices. It’s made of natural resin which allows it to ever so slightly conform to the body.
I’ve played with this device many times. What’s great about it is it’s easily washable, is somewhat comfortable for the wearer, and comes in at the best budget price point.
While I don’t have anything against the holytrainer I’ve noticed on folx with smaller testicles it tends to droop allowing the goods to be too easily accessed.
I also find it collects moisture and condensation due to the lack of air allowed in.
